MY DREAM (2nd place)

By Maddie Campagna, 6th grade, East Valley Middle School

My dream is to win American Idol and become a famous singer. It’s been my dream ever since I was three years old. Ever since I can remember I have been working hard to achieve it.

I will achieve it by doing many things such as practicing and working hard. Also, I will learn by asking questions. I realize I will struggle at some point but I will fight my way to the top. I will always take care of my voice and listen when my choir teacher tells me what I need to work on. I will learn from my mistakes.

I have performed many times in school plays and choir concerts. One of my favorite memories was when I was a little girl I performed for my family singing “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias.

Education plays a big part in my dream. I am fortunate that my school, East Valley Middle School, provides an awesome choir program. It’s always fun to go to choir and see y super fun teacher Mr. Olsen. Mr. Olsen is a hard working, experienced and dedicated teacher. We get to perform in lots of concerts. Mr. Olsen is my role model. I know education is very important. You get out of it what you put in. If I do fall short of my dream I will always have my education to fall back on.

My life would never be complete without singing. Without singing I wouldn’t be who I am. It’s a very big part of me that no one will take from me.

When I attain my dream I will do tons of things. I will perform for people all over the world. I would do good things like donate to charities and adopt puppies and dogs. I would thank my family for all their support. A mansion would be my house and I would ride in limos. I would inspire other people to follow their dreams. Also I would sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl.

My family supports me a lot and helps me on this long journey. They believe in me. I appreciate them so much. I love my family.

My dream will have many challenges. However, I believe with hard work and dedication I can achieve it.
